A Maori Anglican clergyman reports some sensational cures by Ratana last evening at the religious gathering, where an invitation was extended to any sick Natives to come forward. A blind woman was led up to the prophet by her relatives, and she was told that if she implicitly believed in the Divine power to heal she would be healed. Having professed such belief it is reported that sight was restored, and she walked away unaided. Another was a man aged 30, on crutches, who, it is reported, handed his crutches to Ratana and walked away, as also did a man who was unable to walk without the aid of two sticks.
