READJUSTING INCOME TAX. By Telegraph.—Pre** Asm —Copyright. Received Dec. 28, 10.15 p.m. Sydney, Dec. 28. Mr. Dooley (the Premier) has announced that the "Government intends to meet the deficit of £2,000000 by increasing the tax on incomes amounting to over v£7so yearly, with slight reductions on incomes under that amount. Mr. Dooley added that a Bill providing for thia would be part of the platform the Labor Party would submit to the electors and would be introduced in the Assembly early in May next. In view of this statement it is practically certain the elections will be held early in April.
