ENTERTAINMENTS.

EVERYBODY’S. LAST NIGHT OF BILL HART IN “THE CRADLE OF COURAGE. Here is the picture that- all the motion picture world has been waiting for. Hitherto Bill Hart has been seen, on practically every .occasion, as a good-bad man w’ho began by defying law and order, but who finished up on the right side of the fence. In “The Cradle of (Courage,” however he is seen in the role of a policeman, doing his utmost to enforce law and order. In all respects this is Hart’s greatest picture to date. It has. in its beginning, a mother-love interest that has rarely been equalled in other pictures. It contains a light scene that will leave the most hardened beholder breathless with excitement, and the remaining scenes., each and every one, are calculated to stir the most turgid emotions. Of equal importance on the programme is the Larry Semon comedy “Solid Con crete." This two-reel comedy is just a huge avalanche of laughter, with the irresistible Larry always on top. It is a splendid holiday picture, and the man who lias lost al] his money at the races will laugh just as heartily as the man who has had a big win. The final screening takes place to-night. COMING TO-MORROW. ANNETTE KELLERMAN TN “WHAT WOMEN LOVE.” There is a veritable cyclone of action in the Annette Kellerman feature “What \vomen Love,’’ which is to be screened at Everybody’s to-morrow. It is a rapid story of love and adventure, plentifully interlarded with bright comedy with the world-famed diving Venus, naturally in the thick of everything, from swimming and diving to dancing and fighting. Daring stunts are quite a feature of the attraction, and there is much to hold and thrill, while the under-water photography is the most wonderful that has yet been seen on the screen. Miss Kellerman’s work in this production, albeit arduous and exacting, proves that her popularity has been won by sheer merit. She has never appeared to such .advantage as in this modern story, specially written to show her to the best advantage in all those varied achievements that have made her famous. The box plans for “What Women Love” will be at Everybody’s to-night and at Collier’s all day to-morrow.

THE PEOPLE’S. NORMA TALMADGE AGAIN TO-NIGHT. Norma Talmadge in “The Passion Flower” will be the feature at the People’s again to-night. In the role of the beautiful Spanish daughter Acacia, Miss Talmadge -has the greatest dramatic vehicle of her career. “The Passion Flower” is from the stage play of the same name, from thg pen of the greatest Spanish dramatist of the day, Jacinto Benavente. The plot of the story is as unusual as it is powerful; it tells of the love of a beautiful Castilian unaid for her step-father, a plot that truly makes an appropriate background for a story that bespeaks itself the atmosphere of Spain. The bill includes Paramount Gazettes and the big 1 Mack Sennett mirthquake, “The Pull--1 man Bride.” To-morrow night, for one night only, the Fox de luxe attraction, “Beyond Price.” featuring Pearl White will be presented. A special Christie two-reel comedy, Fox gazettes and ChesterOuting Travelog are also on this bill. THE KING’S CINEMA, STRATFORD. “LYING LIPS” TO-NIGHT. “Lying Lips” are those of Nancy Abbot, temperamental young English girl engaged to a man of great wealth. During a trip abroad she meets Blftir Cornwall. The attraction is mutual, but Nancy feels she cannot give up the high life to which she has been accustomed. She leaves for England and is followed by Blair who ships in the steerage of the same liner. During the voyage the ship is wrecked and. Nancy is saved by Blair. Feeling that rescue is impossible they decide” to perform a wedding between themselves in solemn earnest. Upon being unexpectedly rescued Nancy re-o-rets her action and forms a plan whereby Blair will be left on the raft. Upon her return a magnificent function is given bv her fiancee and Nancy is astounded to see Cornwall amongst the assembled guests. He has inherited a oreat estate; but he pretends he is not the man she thinks he is. Nancy consents to the wedding with her wealthy Txjndoner, but at the last moment her courage fails her and she declares that she is the wife of another man. Cornwall, believing the marriage will be carried out,'leaves for Australia. When he reads of Nancy’s sensational declaration of the truth it is too late for him to return.
