There was but a small attendance at Cfeu l Farmers’ Co-op. sale, Inglewood, on Wednes-< day, though there was a fair yarding of stock. Press of work on the farms, approaching holidays and depressed markets made too big an adverse combination to allow of any hope for a good sale. Fresh conditioned ewes sold for 6s; forward lambs, from 10s to Ils 3d; mixed fifteen to twenty-month heifers, 355. The sale at £9 Is of Mr. Burwell's grade Jersey heifers gave a note of hope for better times——of confidence in the tundamental soundness of the dairy Industry that is distinctly cheering in these doleful days of depression.
