RELIGIOUS REVIVAL.
GATHERING OF NATIVES. THE WORK OF RATANA. By Telegraph.—l’ress Association Wanganui, Last Night’. For a week past there has been a steady influx of natives from all parts of the Dominion to Ratana, where a religious revival on a big scale will be held on Christmas Day. Yesterday about 3000 were encamped and each train brings more. The camp largely consists of tents in regular rows, with cook houses for th--different sections, while a complete water service and electrical lighting liave been installed. The discipline of the camp is strict, while good sanitation is a feature. In connection with this the district health officer is visiting the camp daily. During the past year Ratana has received 71,000 letters' fre u people seeking advice and help, the communications being from all parts of the world. In many instances money., occasionlly of large amounts, has been forwarded, but in every case it has been returped, as Ratana refuses reward of any kind.
