SALE OF WAR CLOTHING. Melbourne, Dec. 22. The board dealing with the disposal of accumulated stocks of war clothing and other material has sold goods worth £'834,000 to date. REDISTRIBUTION OF SEATS. Sydney, Dec. 22 The Commission arranging the redistribution of the Federal electorates, recommends three new city constituencies, making a total of 15 country and 13 city seats. Nepean and Barrier will disappear. There will be wholesale remodelling in practically every seat. SYNTHETIC GOLD. Adelaide, Dec. 22. Professor Ken; Grant, professor oi physics at the Adelaide University, says that the production of synthetic gold from the baser metals is a scientific impossibility and outside the rearm of practical physics. He added that Professor Irving Fisher, from whom the cabled report emanated, was not known as an authority on physical science.
