THE PANTOMIME. That Brandon Holt’s clever combination have captivated the New Plymouth public with their bright performance of the pantomime “Robinson Crusoe” was evidenced last night by the large and enthusiastic audience that greeted them on their appearance at the Empire Theatre for the concluding night of their New Plymouth season. The various members of the cast entered into their parts with a brightness that makes the performance go with a swing. The setting is remarkably good, considering the stage limitation, whilst the dressing and lighting effects are in keeping with the high standard that has been achieved. All the musical numbers, ballets, wittit sms and dialogue were well received, encores being frequently demanded, and at the conclusion of the performance floral tributes were handed up to Robinson Crusoe (Dorothy Manning), Polly Perkins (Christine Andrews), The Fairy Queen (Wyn Faulkner) and Mrs. Crusoe (Harry Graham).
