WEDDING.

COGAN—BRADBURY. The wedding took place at St. Mary’s Church yesterday of Miss Doris Irene Bradbury, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Bradbury, New Plymouth, to Mr. Lee Burgess Derisley Cogan, of Christchurch. The ceremony was performed by the Ven Archdeacon Evans, assisted by the Rev. F. G. Harvie. Mr. R. Neville Renaud presided at the organ. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a beautiful gown of white charmeuse with panniers of silk tulle embroidered in silver and bunched at the hips with wee silver roses. Georgette panels, caught with true lovers’ knots, fell gracefully from each shoulder at the back, and a girdle of silver tissue added a charming effect. Her wedding veil of Honiton lace was fasteneds with a band of silver caught at each sjde with a wreath of orange blossoms, and she carried a sheaf-of Christmas lillies.

The bridesmaids were Miss Sybil Fitzherbert and Miss Catherine Walker. Miss Fitzherbert wore a frock of amethyst marquisette trimmed with rosettes of cream lace, and her hat was of the same material also trimmed wi.th Rosettes of cream lace, and her hat was of the same material also trimmed with rosettes of lace and ribbon. Miss Walker was gowned in lemon georgette trimmed with ruchings of the same material,. and her hat was trimmed with pansies of a darker shade. Both bridesmaids carried old-fashioned posies of flowers toning with their dresses. The best man was Mr. George Bradbury. After the ceremony 1 the bride’s mother entertained the guests at her residence, where the rooms were decorated with beautiful flowers. Mrs. Bradbury received her guests in a gown of amethyst shantung embroidered in black, with black hat trimmed with silver and amethyst, aud carried a bouquet of larkspurs and sweet peas. Miss Cogan, sister of the bridegroom, wore a navy blue and gold frock, nav.y hat, and carried a bouquet of coreopsis. Miss I Winnie Bradbury wore saxe-blue crepe- I de-ohine, with hat of black and gold j and her bouquet was of shell pink larks- j purs. Mrs. Baird (Masterton) aunt of) the bride, wore a black erepe-de-chine I coat and skirt, black hat and carried a | bouquet of pink roses; Miss Baird, cousin of the bride, navy blue and White I foulard, black hat, and bouquet of crimson roses. The bride’s going-away dress was a smart fawn costume and black hat trimmed with henna and jade flowers and jade ribbon. Mr. and Mrs. Cogan will live in Dunedin. <
