A FAMILY TRAGEDY.

MOTHER AND CHILD DIE. By Tategraph.—Press Association. Dannevirke, Last Night. An inquest was held by the coroner concerning the death of Allan Scott, the three-year-old son or Rose and Cuthbert Scott. The coroner found that death was due to asphyxiation caused by undue pressure on the throat, such pressure being exercised by the mother. There was no evidence to show her mental condition. The child died at the public hospital, and since its death the mother also died in the same institution from natural causes.
