WEDDING.
REVELL-BIRD. A quiet and interesting wedd’ng look place at St. Mary’s Church, New Plymouth, on Monday, December 5, when Miss Alma Rachel, fourth daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Bird, of Rimu Street. Fitzroy, was married to Mr. Eric James, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. James Revell. Courtenay Street, New Plymouth. The Rev. Harvie officiated. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, wore a smart navy blue costume, and carried a beautiful bouquet of choice white flowers. She was attended by Miss Pearl Churcliouse, of Petone. as bridesmaid, who wore a smart grey costume and cream hat, and carried a beautiful bouquet of pink sweet peas. Mr. Cyril Parker, of Kaimata, a friend of the bridegroom, acted as best man. After the ceremony a reception was held at the residence of the bride's parents. About 40 guests were present. Later in the afternoon Mr. and Mrs. Revell left by motor for the south, where the honeymoon was spent.
