INGLEWOOD.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) Dec. 19. The meeting of the Inglewood Beautifying and Improvement Society, called for Friday, was attended by Messrs. J. R. Sutherland (president), W. J. Smith (secretary), Miss Stevens and Messrs. T. Drake, W. H. Eagar, R. Fawcett, E. Martzig and R. Stevens. After some discussion on matters of ways and means, it was resolved to have the fence, previously decided on for the protection of the plantation in the sports reserve, erected without avoidable delay, using for the purpose, if found necessary, the funds of the society. The' president and Mr. Stevens were appointed a sub-committee to carry the resolution into effect. It was also resolved that the society open an account with the Post Office Savings Bank, Messrs. T. Drake and W’. J. Smith to be trustees.
