PAST MONTH’S RETURNS. REVENUE STILL GROWING. The tramways engineer reported: The revenue received for the month shows an increase of £142 as compared with November} 1920; -likewise 14,000 additional passengers have been carried. The work in connection with the overhauling of the old cars is proceeding satisfactorily, and to date one has been completed land is in traffic, whilst the second should be ready for the road towards the end of next week. Generally speaking, everything is operating satisfactorily, and the service has been maintained without interruption. The total receipts for the month were £1564, Morley Street section contributing £lO2.
Electric IBus Service.—Mileage run, 1956; units consumed, 1980; passengers carried, 9518 (Westown, 5714; Frankley Road, 487; Vogeltown, 3317). The total fares amount to £lOO 13s 5cV an increase of £3 15s 5d as compared with November, 1920. It must be remembered, however, that the service was suspended on four days during the month, owing ot a fractured bearing in the front wheel.
