Others unchanged.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. LOANS OVER-SUBSCRIBED. London, Dec. 16. The Indian and Auckland City loans have been over-subscribed. HULL WOOL SALES. London, Dec. 16. As the result of keen competition at the opening Hull wool sale, practically the whole offering at the first session was sold. Merinos advanced 5 per cent., fine crossbreds 10 to, 15 per cent., mediums 10 per cent., low grades 5 per cent., over the last London sales. EFFECT OF SYDNEY FIRE. London, Dec. 16. The Yorkshire Observer, while regretting the destruction of wool in the Sydney fire, says: “Though the world as a whole could do with this new clip wool, despite B.A.W.R.A.’s surplus, it is a flight of imagination to suggest that the fire is likely appreciably to affect prices. It has not, and could not affect Bradford.” The writer points out that the wool- destroyed, if all merino, only amounts to onefifth of tbe extra merino contained in the new clip, compared with last, year’s. DUDLEY ROAD SALE. (From Our Own Correspondent.) There was a good attendance at Newton King, Ltd.’s Dudley Road yards on Wednesday. and a fair yarding of stock. Mixed 15 to 20-month heifers sold at front 27s to 575; showing Jersey up to 725; steers 15s to 245; inferior quality store ee s 12s to 22s'. better class 30s to 50s, empty wife £2 2s 6d to £4 0s 6d, bulls £-3 1< .
