SHOOTING IN BELFAST.
SEVERAL SCATTERED INCIDENTS. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyrigtt. Received Dec. I'B, 5.5 p.m. London, Dec. 16. Shooting occurred in widely separated districts of Belfast on Friday night. A police lorry was attacked and the occupants replied with machine guns. Six were wounded. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. Received Dec. IS, 5.5 p.m. London, Dec. 17. There were more intense attacks on workmen in Belfast this morning. Exservicemen, under military protection* who were laying a tram track on the Newtownard Road, were fired on and one named Pritchard, with four years’ war service, was shot dead. —Aus.-N.Z.
