A bazaar in aid of the Anglican Home Mission was held at Uruti yesterday. There were a number of car loads of people from New Plymouth, including Mrs. C. H. Burgess, 0.8. E. (who opened the function), and Archdeacon Evans. Settlers of the district turned up in good numbers, and good business resulted, the mission fund substantially benefiting. In the evening a dance was held, the hall being crowded. Xmas presents suitable for men and boys can be purchased at the Melbourne, Ltd., at a moderate cost. Ties, shirts, plain, fancy and initial handkerchiefs m silk or cotton, braces, suspenders, socks, hats all make useful gifts, ad are fully by the male sex.
