WELLINGTGON WOOL SALES. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Dec. 13. At the wool sale there was general and keeA competition, America picking the eyes out •»' the catalogues and paying relatively very good prices, suitable lines being at pence above Bradford. Average quality, inferior, medium, coarse and low crossbreds were on a par With October sales arid to %d above Napier .and Auckland. Only the best lambs' wool was wanted and good Down wool sold at up to 13%d. Bradford limits were on the low side. The Continent was active at the price, Japan taking crutchings. The unofficial range of prices to lunch time was:—Southdown, 12Ud, 13%d; average halfbred, S’iid, lid; coarser halfbred, Bd, 9%d; superfine crossbred, 7d. ■9d; average fine crossbred, Bd; inferior •fine crossbred, 6%d; super medium crossbred, B%d: average medium crossbred, 4%d. 6‘4d; inferior medium crossbred, SHd,. 4%d: , coarse crossbred. 4 1 X>d. average coarse crossbred, 4’4d, 5%d; fine hoggets, 6d, B%d; fine lambs, 7d, Bd.
