THE AUCKLAND SALE. ADVANCE ON NAPIER PRICES Bj Teleernpb—Preus Association. Auckland, Last Night. The first wool sale of the season was. hekl to-day. 8743 bales being offered in good condition. Competition was keen and 80 per cent, yvas sold. Prices in •several instances showed .advances on the Napier rates. Bradford, Continental and American houses, a-nd local woollen mills and Vvfeffe o'pferat- * Rg ’ The range of prices was: Average 4ialfdjrrd- medium 9d to lid, fine eros-s--bred« sdpet fid to Hid., fine crossbred average pjd t0'724, Tn fed him crossbred -jruper sfd- average 4d to coarse crossbred super to s^d. average 4'd%n 4id, low crossbred.medium 3d to 3§d, hoggets x-ne up to fid, medium 5d to ff£d. coarse 4d to 4Ad. <dw grade ‘sd to s3d, lambs super BJd,- fine 6d to 7d, medium M to 43d. bellies and pieces super 4fd, medium 2£d to 3d, low grade Id to IJd.. locks id to Id.
