INGLEWOOD COUNTY.

WEST RIDING ELECTION. Very little interest was taken by settlers in the west riding of the Inglewood County Council in the election yesterday for one member .to replace Cr. J. B. Simpson, who recently resigned his seat. There were two candidates.. Messrs. A. E. Laurence and D. Todd. The latter had been a. member of the Moa Road Board for many years prior to the formation of the county, but latterly a resident of New Plymouth. The poll resulted in the return'of Mr. A. E. Laurence, who polled 56 against 14 votes scored by Mr. Todd. Details of the voting are: Laurence Todd Inf.
