EGMONT LICENSING COMMITTEE.

QUARTERLY MEETING. The quarterly meeting of the Egmont Licensing Committee was held yesterday at Eltham, those present being: Messrs. A. M. Mowlem, S.M. (chairman), A. H. Guy, R. Innis and 0. M. O’Brien. Applications for transfers were granted from Charles James Kirk to Rene Leon Avery, Manaia Hotel; Oeo Hotel, William Patrick Walsh to John Glengarry. The police reported that a leak in the Rahotu Hotel had not been remedied. After discussion action was deferred till the next meeting. The report on the conduct of the various hotels in the district was otherwise very satisfactory.
