NORTH TARANAKI COMPETITIONS. ABMirLTK OF SATURDAY S GAMES. In the competitions on Saturday Western Park defeated Urenui, and New Plymouth played a drawn pune with Old Boys. in thu B grade Harbor Works won their match With High School, Waitara beat Technical College, High School defeated Old Boys, and Western Park gained the decision over Urenui by an innings and 27 runs. Halley (Western Park), five for 21. A GRADE. WESTERN PARK v. URENUI. Western Park A journeyed to Urenui, and a most enjoyable game resulted in a win for the visitors after a very interesting match by three wickets. Urenui batted first and made a respectable 111, of which W. Fuller 56 and P. Sarten 24 were the chief scorers. Western Park started very badly, four wickets being down for 17, but a splendid partnership by F. H. Robertson (47) and R. B. Macdonald (39) carried the score to 102 before the two were separated. V. Halley (Western Park) was the most successful bowler on the day, bowling practically through tne mnings, and getting five wickets at a cost of 2 i runs. The fielding on both sides was good. The Urenui ladies provided a splendid afternoon tea, this being very much appreciated. Details of the scores are:— URENUI.

V.V-stern Park and Urenui met on the park gr-afuid, and victory went to the town team by an innings and 27 runs. Urenui made 21 runs (W. Jonas 8) and 49 runs (Ruihball 19). Western Park made 97 runs (Hoskin 30, Berg 17, Barndcn 10, Wright 10). Bowling for Urenui Wiley secured four wickets for 27 runs, J. • O’Nerll two for 18, Purdie two for 23, Jonas one for 8. Western Park bowlers were: Bullot eight for 21, Harrison six for 25, Berg four for 19. HARBOR WORKS v. HIGH SCHOOL 111. In a two innings match Harbor Works defeated High School HI. hy 35 runs.
