SONOMA ROBBERY.
TWO SOVEREIGNS MISSING. IMPORTANT ARREST LIKELY. By Telegraph.—r Press Assn. —Copyright. San Francisco, Dec. 2. All but two sovereigns of the Sonoma’s gold are now safely resting in the vaults of the local bank. Two detectives claim that they have traced the two coins and know where they were changed, and by whom. They say they have also established the identity of the man who engineered the theft, and a warrant will shortly be issued -for his arrest. MEMBER OF CREW "SUSPECTED WARRANT FOR HIS ARREST. Received Dec. 4, 5.5 p.m. San Francisco, Dec. 3. The Chronicle states Air. Samuels (manager of the Oceanic Shipping Company) has sworn out a warrant against a. quartermaster named Duerest, charging' him with the theft of the Sonoma gold. Ducrest. escaped, but the police, who believe they are on his trial, expect to arrest him shortly.
