DECREASE OF UNEMPLOYMENT. NO LICENSING LEGISLATION. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The House of Representatives met at 2.30 p.m. Replying to Mr. A. D. McLeod (Wairarapa), the Hon. G. J. Anderson said the Arbitration Court had discretionary power to reduce the cost of living bonuses granted to workers in the freezing industry. Replying to Mr. G. Mitchell (Wellington South), the Hon. G. J. Anderson said his information was that there was a marked falling off in unemployed all over the Dominion. He thought there would be plenty of work in the country during the next few months. Replying to Mr. J. McCombs (Lyttel ton), the Hon. D. H. Guthrie said it was impossible to find money at present to aid soldiers to buy homes. Replying to Mr. W. H. Field (Otaki) Mr. Massey said it was not intended to bring down any licensing legislation this session.
