CornOn the suggestion of Mr. Jones it was decided that in future a balance-sheet be forwarded, to members with the notice calling the annual meeting, and that the club employ a paid secretary. The election of officers for the coming year resulted as follows: President Mr. Lepper; vice-president, Mr. F. Cornwall; committee, president, vice-president, Messrs. II C. Sampson, k. L. Parkin, A. J. Luxton, G. Bell, J. S. Jones. THE PEDIGREE SALES. Mr. Bell advocated that an inspection committee be formed to act in connection" with future sales held by the club, and in doing so expressed the opinion that some of the cattle brought forward for the last sale were no credit to the club. He suggested that the committee act on the ground. In the course of further discussion Mr. Bell said the opinion had been Jicld that it was unfortunate that there should have been such a proportion of aged cows at the first female sale. The buyers would want something more attractive next June. Mr. Stonex suggested that entries for the next sale be confined to maiden stock. It was subsequently decided that an inspection committee be appointed, and that all animals be passed by the committee before being brought into the ring. It was resolved, as an instruction to the inspection committee, that all animals showing unsoundness be rejected for entry. GENERAL. The annual subscription was raised from 10s Gd to 15s. The chairman proposed a hearty vote of thanks to Mr. Griffiths for his work as secretary. This was seconded by Mr. Bell, who expressed the opinion that there was no better worker in Taranaki for the interests of the Jersey breed than Mr. Griffiths.
