THE NGAMOTU BEACH.

MEETING OF THE COMMITTEE. The annual meeting of the Ngamotn Seaside Committee was held last night. an:l in conjunction with this was ateo held the meeting of the Ngamotu Seaside Resorts, Ltd., the company formed to finance the operations of the committee. There were present: Messrs. R. J. Deare (in the chair), AV. Bendall, W. C. Weston. A. Gibson, W. T. Hookham, J. S. S. Medley and R. Ellis (secretary). The statement of accounts showed that the receipts were: Rents £173 17s, picnic £225 2s 2d, share sale cottage £lO Ils, refund £2 18s fkl. donations £5 ss, East End carnival £3O 15s (id, borough grant £l2 10s, interest £lll 14s 2d—total £572 13s 7d. Payments were: Picnic £B3 15s- 6d, advertising £l6 4s 3d. entertainment £29 7s, repairs cottage £2 Ils, ground rents £6, insurance £1 Is 2d, water rates 15s—total £139 14s. The sum of £43’2 19s 8d was set down as a loan to the Ngamotu Resorts, Ltd. Assets amounted to £2538 9s 6d and liabilities are nil. The statement was adopted with little discussion. Members considered the position of the committee as satisfactory.

For * the three vacancies on the directorate of the company Messrs. G. Grey and J. Morey (re-elected) and J. S. S. Medley (vice Mr. J. W. Hayden) were appointed. Mr. Benda/11 was elected chairman.

It was decided to communicate with the Kohimarama Flying School to ascertain it arrangements can be made to secure a seaplane as an attraction at the annual New Year picnic. The secretary was voted a. bonus of ten guineas in recognition of his work. The following committee was elected: Messrs. IV. Bendall. R. Dearp. G. Grey J. Morey, W. T. Hookham. H. Brookman, C. C. Ward, W. F. Short, W. C. Weston J. S. S. Medley, and A. Gibson. A number of applications were received for the position of caretaker, and after consideration Mr T. D. Bradford was appointed.
