A GLOOMY REPORT. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyrlgtt. London. Nov. 25. According to the Berlin newspapers, a gloomy account of Germany’s economic prospects was given at a meeting of the P»erlin Merchants’ Guild by Dr. Kraemer, a big manufacturer, who prominently participated in the negotiations for a credit to Germany. He said German exports were monthly declining, and Germany's economic collapse might be expected in the spring. There had been an unpreeedented crop failure. About 30 million tons of corn must be imported for food next year or enough fertiliser to render the agricultural area productive. lie stated that the English bankers, Roti: liild and Co., were willing to provide a credit ot ten to fifteen millions sterling 11 the loan was taken up in England within a year. Contrasting with Dr. Kraemer’s views, Reuter’s Berlin correspondent reports that the unemployed receiving relief in Germany decreased during October from 186,000 to 152,000. and the decline continues.
