SPAIN TO THE ARGENTINE. PASSAGE IN NINETY HOURS. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received Nov. 24, 8.15 p.m. Berlin, Nov. 24. Dr. Hugoeckener, Count Zeppelin’s onetime colleague, is the chief promoter of the Cadiz—Buenos Aires air service. The company is being formed in Spain in order to evade the provisions of the peace treaty forbidding Germany to build or use transAtlantic aircraft. The working capital is equivalent to £2,700,000, of which Spanish banks provided £1,750,000, the Government guaranteeing interest. The organisation is in the direction of German hands and German crews. The craft will be built in Spain and the Argentine. It is intended to start a bi-weekly service for merchandise and passengers, who will pay £166 passage money. The duration of the passage will be ninety hours. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. This relates to a commercial airship service which is being promoted between Cadiz and Buenos Aires. Non-stop Hights of 5000 miles by zeppeiins inflated with helium to minimise the risk of fire are contemplated.
