DARING RAIDS.
ON MILITARY BARRACKS. MACHINE GUNS & RIFLES SEIZED. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. London, Nov. 23. Two machine-guns and twenty rifles were stolen from the Victoria Barracks at Windsor, at which the Irish Guards were, stationed. It is believed a raid was carried out by men in three motor cars, which were seen to enter the barracks. The sentries thought the cars contained officers, and passed them in and out. The weapons were missed yesterday morning. After inquires concerning the cars by the officer of the guard, several N.C.O.'s, men and civilians were arrested. This morning two machine guns and two rifles were stolen from the storeroom at the Guards’ barracks at Chelsea. The police recovered the whole of the weapons stolen in Windsor. At Chelsea they arrested one soldier and four civilians. The house where the arrests were made was rented by a prominent member of the Roger Casement Sinn Fein club.
