HELICOPTER SECRETS.

MR. BRENNAN’S EXPERIMENT. The trial of the Brennan helicopter, which was conducted amid profound secrecy, has fully justified the hope of the inventor. It demonstrated that the machine can rise and descend vertically, and also hoveY. It left the ground within its own length, and climbed aloft at an imperceptible angle. Mr. Brennan had a special staff of mechanics, who steadily persevered with the construction, The secret was guarded with the utmost rigor. Parts were made separately by workmen who did not know for what they were intended. Only a small special staff assisted in assembling the parts, and these alone hold the secret of the proportions of the construction. The machine rose gracefully, and landed gently. The flight, which was undertaken to test the engines, more than satisfied Mr. Brennan, who will shortly make experiments of a more extensive nature.
