PRESBYTERIAN ASSEMBLY.
AND LAMBETH PROPOSALS. By Telegraph.—rress Association" Dunedin, Nov. 23. The Presbyterian Assembly received the report of the committee appointed to draw up an answer to the appeal of the Lambeth Conference. It was declared that, as far as the Presbyterian Church was concerned, the Lambeth proposals for mutual recognition and reordination, removed no obstacle to the re-union of Christendom. The committee recommended that a copy of the report be- sent to the Archbishop of Canterbury and the ActingPrimate of the Anglican Church in New Zealand with an intimation of the willingness of the church to confer with representatives of the Anglican Church on the question of such co-operation of the two churches as may pave the way to ultimate union. This was unanimously agreed to.
