AN APPEAL FOR THE BACKBLOCKS.

(To the Editor.) Sir, —May I appeal through your columns on behalf of a sale of work in aid of the Back Blocks’ Mission to be held at Urutl on December 16. Our noble settlers Are doing all they can to help, and they will be much encouraged by any suitable gifts towards the success of the sale -Children’s clotting, fancy articles, music, magazines, etc., would be most acceptable, and can be left at the Victoria League rooms any day, in care of Mrs. Russell. Mrs. Larsen, the local secretary at Urutl, vvill be thankful to receive any donations. —I am, etc., , F. G. EVANS, Archdeacon.
