PRINCE’S TRIUMPH.
HIS TOUR OF INDIA. FEARS OF DISORDER. HOSTILITY OF MOSLEMS. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received Nov. 23, 8.10 p.m. London, Nov. 22. Authoritative cables from India pay high tribute to the Prince’s personal triumph, but point out that the intensive extremist campaign may result in serious developments, particularly in Sind, where the municipalities, in view of the Khalifat agitation, gravely fear that Moslem feeling may be incapable of restraint, unless assurances are quickly forthcoming regarding Britain’s attitude towards Turkey. It is reported that the Sikh agitation in the Punjab has partially affected the sepoys and police, who may resign in appreciable numbers. The Karachi (Sind) municipality has postponed voting funds for celebrations. BUSY DAYS AT BOMBAY. Delhi, Nov. 22. The Prince spent a busy day visiting the university, though the ranks were thinned by non-co-operation. The Prince was vociferously cheered at a rally of the boy scouts and girl guides. Finally he presented the colore to the 7th Rajputs, and was royally received. Everywhere the crowd was unwilling to flee the last of him. GREAT POPULAR WELCOME. Delhi; Nov. 21.
