WEDDING.

ADAMSON—JONES. A wedding of considerable interest took place at the Presbyterian Church, Stratford on Wednesday, November 10, when Mr. J. Adamson, of Auckland, was married to Miss Susy Jones, fourth daughter of Mrs. G. Jones, of Midhirst. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. McKenzie, the .wedding march was played by Mrs. D. Jones, aunt of the bride. The bride, who was given away by her uncle. Mr. W. Jones, looked charming in a beautiful dress (a gift from England) of ivory crepe de chine skirt, with real lace bodice and overdress of. satin in pinafore style with silver and pearl trimmings. The court train was lined with shell pink crepe de chine, she wore the usual veil and orange blossoms arranged in mob cap style, and carried a bouquet of roses and asparagus fern. She was attended by two of iier cousins as bridesmaids. Miss Hilda Wellington wore a pretty sea green merv. silk frock with an overdress of georgette sequel trimming and a black picture hat, and carried a beautiful bouquet of cornflower and asparagus -fern. Miss Queen ie Jones looked sweet in a shell pink crepe de chine frock with gold ajid forget-me-not trimmings; she also wore a black picture hat and carried a pretty bouquet of roses and maidenhair fern. The little train bearer, Miss Valere Keenan, also cousin of the bride, was attired in an apricot silk frock with silver band and streamers and carried a basket of marguerites and asparagus fern, and the two little pags boys, Master Ivan Plews and Cyril Henderson, nephews of the bride, wore cream satin suits and carried crooks. Mr. R. Plews carried out the duties of best man. and Mr. E. Jones as groomsman. After the ceremony the guests were entertained at breakfast in the Forester’s Hall, after which the happy couple left by car amidst showers of rice and confetti for Wanganui en route for Rotorua and Auckland, where the honeymoon will be spent. The bride’s travelling costume was a mole gaberdine and grey lynx furs with (due and henna hat to match- The bride’s present to the bridegroom was a travelling rug, and the. bridegroom’s gift to the bride was a sblid leather suit case, and to the bridesmaids gold brooches set with pearls and ruby, and to the train bearer a gold bangle, and the page boys gold tie pins set with pearls. The presents were both numerous and useful, including a large number of cheques.
