cSCAPEE S BAIL ESTREATED. By Telegraph—Press Associaton. Auckland. Nov. 21. In the Supreme Court the Crown Prosecutor sought to estreat the bail vhich Thomas C. Nicholson, frozen neat work- employee, provided for the iteration of David M. Todd, a welle.nown criminal, who afterwards left or Australia. Nieholson was described cs a decent man taken in by a gang of ‘riminals. It was stated that he pro- . ided Todd’s bail at the request of a 'riend whom he met at the war. The judge said an important principle wa* involved and the bail mu»t be sstrea ted.
