ALLEGED CORRUPTION..
SYDNEY CONTRACT CASEBy Telegraph.—Press Assn —Copyright. Received Nov. 21, 9.15 p.m. Sydney, Nov. 21. The Bramston ease was resumed today. The town clerk gave lengthy evidence regarding the conditions of tenders for wood blocks. He stated Bramston had always been a consistent fighter against the high prices charged for block*. Bramston acted quite openly in connection with the negotiations for the tender involved in the case. The case was adjourned till Wednesday, when the defence opens. Aiderman R. D. Bramston is charged that while a member of the City Council he corruptly took for himself and other persons unknown, who were also public and ministerial officers, a bribe of £25. in part payment of a larger sum from George Gill as an inducement to favour Gill and Read in relation to contracts for supplies of wood blocks to the City Council.
