SATURDAY COMPETITIONS. URENUI v. INGLEWOOD. In the A grade matches in Nortt Taranaki on Saturday Urenui had a comfortable win over Inglewood. The match was played at. Inglewood, and Urenui’s innings produced 219 ■ (K. Blundell 87, and Sorten 44). Inglewood made 37, and in their second innings had three wickets down for 70 runs. Bowling for Urenui. Blundell did the “bat trick.” Details are:— URENUI.

The Midlands team were defeated by Okaiawa at Okaiawa. Okaiawa made 72 in the first innings, to which Midlands replied with 19. Midlands went in again, and knocked up 68 for seven wickets, giving Okaiawa 45 to win In half an hour. Vigorous hitting Dy Harrison and Nichols gave them a welldeserved three-point victory. At Hawera Manala defeated Excelsior by a margin of 86 runs on the first Innings, making 193 to Excelsior’s 107. Eltbam were defeated by Kaponga by 8G to 60 on the first innings. Eltham went in for a second innings. Little making 50 in as many minutes. In the school competitions Kaponga defeated Riverlca by 116 to 90. Patea “A” defeated Waverley “A” by 112 to 43, and Patea "B” also won from Waverley “B” by 152 to 103. The chief scores were: Patea, Harding 51. Hamel 41.
