LIFE-SAVING.
OLD B£YS’ CLUB FORMED. A meeting of the old boys of the New Plymouth Boys’ High School interested in the formation of a life-saving club was held last night, when it was decided that a club be formed, to be known as the Old Boys’ Club, and with Ngamotu beach as its field of operation. Officers were elected as follows: President, Mr. G. W. Palmer; vice-presi-dents, Messrs. W. H. Moyes, A. R. Standish, W. C. Weston. E. Gilmour, R. IL George, and Drs. Wade and Brewster; lion, treasurer and secretary, Mr. R. Howell; club captain, Mr. R. Blennerhassett; executive, club captain and hon. secretary and treasurer (ex olfieio), and Messrs. R. Morrison, I. McHardy, k. Kirk. E- Coleman, J. Pooley, W. Brown and 1). Sykes; delegate to the North Taranaki branch of the Royal Life-Saving Society. Mr. K. Kirk. The question of the uniform to be worn was left in the hands of the executive to arrange. The subscription was fixed at. ss, and 2s fid for members under IS. The secretary was instructed to make application to the North Taranaki branch of the Royal Life-Saving Society for a reel.
