HOROWHENUA RACES. - FESTIVITY WINS THE CUP. i By Telegraph—Press Association. Levin, Last Night. The Horowhenua Club's annual meeting was held to-day in fine weather. There was a good attendance. The sum of £18,397 was put through the totatisator, against £ 22,333 last year. Nobleman finished fifth in the hurdles, but fell dead just after passing rhe post. Celnrisia bolted before the fourth race and ran twice round the course, being withdrawn from the race. Results : MANAKAU HURDLES.—Passenger 1, War Loan 2, Gay Boy 3. Scratched: Naughty.
