BRITISH ARMY’S FOOD.

DOMINIONS’ MEAT FAVORED. EXISTING CONTRACTS MAY BE MODIFIED. By Telegraph-—Press Assn —Copyright. Received Nov. 15, 5.5 p.m. London, Nov. 14. The War Office is in sympathy with the proposal by Mr. W. M. Hughes (Australian Premier) that larger meat supplies should be obtained for the army from the Dominions. It is pointed out that at present the demands are limited by the terms of the existing contracts that were made during the war. Inquiries have already been set afoot to discover whether there are any means by which the present arrangement may be modified in the direction of increased dealings with Australia and New Zealand. — United Service.
