PROPOSED MARKETS BOARD. THE SHIPPING SCHEME. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. A meeting of the recently-constitut-ed producers’ committee had a lengthy discussion in committee to-day on the proposal to form a producers’ board to deal with the question of markets. Recommendations were framed in regard to the constitution of the board, and also dealing with its functions, methods and finance. These will be considered by a sub-committee, with legai assistance, which will prepare final recommendations on sound lines. The proposed establishment of a producers’ shipping line was again discussed, and further suggestions were advanced regarding the most satisfactory method of financing a mercantile shipping board, the subject to be fully considered meantime and discussed again at the next meeting of the committee.
