At the coronial inquest into the death of Charles Germann, aged 13, who was accidentally shot on Saturday at Paterangi, the evidence pointed to a stumble through stepping into a deep rabbit burrow, and that deceased used his gun butt to prevent his falling and was shot through the breast, death being instantaneous.
