At the Arc de Triomphe .iIOO Communists unfurled a red flag I which, with a wreath, they attempted to place on the unknown soldier’s tomb. The police ordered the removal of the flag, but allowed the wreath to be placed on the grave. The Communists returned later with the object of disturbing the officials at the ceremony. Police reinforcements scattered them. In the Place de I’Etoile several arrests were made.
