A BOY’S DEATH.
TRAGEDY ON A FARM. Word was received from our Tongaporutu correspondent last night of the death under distressing circumstances of the 16-year-ola and only son of Mr. and Mrs. G. Ferguson, sharemilkers for Mr. R. Scott, at Okau. The lad was found banging to a tree near the Okau dairyfactory. It appears the boy had brought the cows to the milking shed on Friday night as usual and milked them, but did not return them to the paddock as he was in the habit of doing. This ed curiosity, and on an investigation being made it was found that the boy had mysteriously disappeared. A diligent search throughout Saturday and Saturday night failed to disclose his whereabouts, but yesterday morning he was found dead hanging to a tree. An inquest into the circumstances will be held at 12 o’clock to-day.
