CHANGE OF ELECTORATES.
BRUCE TO BE WIPED OUT. NEW SEAT IN WAIKATO. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. In the House of Representatives this evening Mr. Massey announced that he had been unofficially informed that the Representation Commissioners had completed their work, with the result, that one seat would be taken from the South Island and one given to the North Island. The electorate to be wiped out was Bruce, and the new electorate would be in the Waikato. The present Waikato seat would become the Hamilton electorate, and the new Waikato electorate w<juld be centred upon Te Awamutu. No licensed house had been affected by the alteration of the boundaries. The people in the districts affected by the changes would have the right of appeal up to an early date in January next. The sitting member for Bruce is Mr. J. Edie, who sits on the Opposition side of the House.
