A WOMAN’S DEATH.
the inquest opened By Telegraph— Press Association. Timaru, Last Night. The inquest concerning the death of Violet Ada Atkins, concerning whose death a serious charge has been laid against James Haynes, commenced to-day, for proof of identitv. her father being the only witneas. She had been living apart from her husband in witness’ home for twelve sionthfl before going to Dunedin on October 6. When she returned on October 15 she went to her sister’s, and next day was sent to hospital. She bad three children, aged four, six and ten years. Her father had no suspicion of her condition when she went to Dunedin. The inquest was adjourned to the 17th inst., to which day Haynes has been remanded to appear at Timaru.
