Dr. Hall Dalby, in a noteworthy lecture at the Hygienic Institute on the common cold, said many people cater. | cold through keeping their handkerchief in the same pocket always or re-infect themselves by using unwashed handkerchiefs. A hearty sneezer was a very dangerous person, and the minimum range of safety from him was at least three feet. The simplest remedy for a ■cold was a hot whiskey toddy or mulled burgundy, followed by a hot bath and a bed of blankets, where the sufferer should stay until he is better. — •Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. '
