LABOR CONFERENCE.

The Labor Conference’s agricultural commission* recommends that the countries ratifying the convention should place agricultural wage-earners on the same footing as industrial workers in regard to compensation for accidents, tiekness and insurance: also that they should prohibit the employment of children under fourteen during school hours.
A commission on white lead was appointed by the medical committee to ascertain whether medical science was in a position properly to diagnose white lead poisoning. A committee of international expert* was appointed to investigate the most satisfactory method of disinfection for anthrax, to report to a future conference. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
