THE ARBITRATION COURT.
CLAIM BY MUSICIANS. By Telegraph—-Press Association. Dunedin, Nov. 4. The Arbitration Court sitting has commenced. Dunedin performing musicians and Invercargill musicians applied for the November bonus, which was opposed. Mr. Breen, for the union, said Christchurch received the bonus, so that players had a total bonus of 9s compared with 6s in Dunedin and Invercargill. Mr. Cookson, for the employers, •states that the objection was that the majority of the workers were engaged in other occupations during the day and were drawing a bonus from them. This was denied. The Court reserved its decision.
