THE ARBUCKLE CASE.

CHARACTER OF THE LEADERS. Ur Telemuh.—Press Assn —Copyrifht Received Nov. 3, 9-50 p.m. San Franeisco, Nov. 2. It appears there had been a tactic agreement between the prosecution and the defence in the Arbuckle case that the latter shall not advance evidence attacking the character of Miss Rappe. It now appears, however, that the defence has sent a man to Chicago w-ho collected the depositions of nurses and other persons avowing several serious moral offences against Miss Rappe. The prosecution announced that if character was made an issue to the trial it was prepared to produce evidence picturing Arbuckle in a highly undesirable light. —Aus-'N-Z. Cable Assn.
