Though military preparations by Czecho-Slovakia and .Tugo-Slavia are continuing, it is hoped, that war will be avoided. The Entente is trying to convince them that war is unnecessary, and to persuade them not to deliver an ultimatum. It is believed the war cry in Belgrade is due to fear that Hungary will hereafter assist Italy militarily in case of need. ALEXANDER ENTERS BELGRADE. Received Oct. 31, 7.35 p.m. Paris. Oct. 29.
