A SERIOUS CHARGE. By Telegraph—Press Association. Timaru, Oct. 29. James R. Hayne, chemist, Dunedin, was charged in the Magistrate’s Court with having unlawfully used an instruxnent on Violet Ada Atkins, a married woman living apart from her husband, with intent to procure a miscarriage. The woman’s evidence was taken in hospital last night. After being warned, the witness made a full statement, going details.
